DO YOU HAVE A FSA? WHAT IS A FSA?
A Flexible Spending Account, or FSA, is an arrangement through your employer that lets you pay for many out-of-pocket medical expenses with tax-free dollars. Allowed expenses include insurance copayments and deductibles, qualified prescription drugs, insulin, and medical devices. It also covers cash based services that aren’t covered by insurance from Band-Aids to Acupuncture.
DO THEY EXPIRE?
Yes. Most expire and the funds are not usable after the end of the year. Your plan may certainly vary so check with your employer on rules and restrictions.
DO THEY COVER EXPENSES THAT AREN’T COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?
Yes. We offer a specialized treatment called EPAT or Shockwave therapy that is not covered by insurance but can be paid for by FSA funds. You can find out more HERE about how EPAT can help you with pain you may be experiencing.
We also have home exercise equipment that can be purchased to help you get better faster at home. This would be covered by your FSA as well.
CAN THEY BE USED TO PAY FOR EXPENSES LIKE CO-PAYS, CO-INSURANCE, AND DEDUCTIBLES FOR SERVICES COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?
Yes. If you have an issue you have been putting off treating, you can start physical therapy and your FSA can pay for your out of pocket costs before the end of the year.
HOW CAN I USE MY FSA FUNDS BEFORE THEY EXPIRE AT THE END OF THE YEAR?
Simply call 908.454.2404 and ask questions about your specific needs and we will point you in the right direction. You can also find out more information about what we offer on our home page of our website.
Take advantage of your FSA before it expires at the end of the year! There is no better investment than an investment in your health.
