The Knee Kinesiography with KneeKG? is aimed to help gain an understanding of your knee pathology or injury, then work towards functional recovery and a return to normal activity. Designed to be for the Knee what an EKG (electrocardiogram) is for the Heart

HOW IS A KNEE KINESIOGRAPHY PERFORMED?

The knee attachment system? exoskeleton? designed to eliminate movement artifacts of the skin and muscles, is placed on the patient’s lower limb. Using an optical system, 3D knee kinematics is captured during walking on a conventional treadmill at a self-determined comfortable speed, in a dynamic, weight-bearing context. Data are captured in all 3 planes of movement.

HOW KNEE KINESIOGRAPHY CONTRIBUTED TO THE RECOVERY OF KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, LAURENT DUVERNAY-TARDIF’S KNEE INJURY.

In 2017, Duvernay-Tardif suffered a left knee injury while playing football for the KansasCityChiefs. In 2018, he fractured his fibula with the involvement of ankle ligaments and was back in the game after 16 weeks. Although his rehab process included physical therapy sessions, different of orthotics, and a year of mechanical interventions, he continued to feel knee pain for almost two years.

In 2019, Duvernay-Tardif was introduced to Emovi and had a KneeKinesiography with the KneeKG. The assessment then guided a more specific rehabilitation and training program during his off season to achieve complete pain-free functionality and optimal performance.
