Jay de Jesus, PTA
A thinker and a tinkerer at heart, Jay has been an athlete all his life spending over a decade on the professional mountain bike racing circuit constantly refining his skills and abilities to perform. Having spent time on the table receiving Physical Therapy himself from various injuries, Jay knew that a career in PT administering compassionate care would be the logical way to complete the cycle to helping others in return.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Physical Therapists Assistance program, Jay uses the innate skills transcended from his family of engineers, artists and educators combined with his experience developed in preparation on the race course of life to bolster his abilities in the clinic. Jay incorporates manual therapy techniques and a broad variety of progressive exercises in his hand-on approach to progressing his patients through to full functionality, return to sport or work, and beyond.
When not in the clinic, Jay spends as much time as possible in the great outdoors with his girlfriend Karen. Whether on two wheels, two skis or in hiking boots, the sporting pursuit of balance and flow are in continued refinement through his passions for living life in the mountains. Jay believes he should always push himself to perform better with balance, exercise and learning; the very thing that he promotes to his patients in the clinic. Their successes are the rewards he seeks.
